Frequently asked questions
Do I need a domain name?
Not for the Xeron subdomain plan: your site is published at an address such as project.xeron.be. With the Own domain plans, you use your own domain name (for example your-company.be), bought from the registrar of your choice.
What is the difference between the plans?
The Xeron subdomain plan (€1/month) hosts one site with 2 GB and one email address. The Own domain plan (€3/month) adds your domain, unlimited sites, 10 GB, 10 email addresses, Drupal and PrestaShop. The Priority plan (€5/month) offers the same with priority support.
Can I move my existing website?
Yes. You can upload your files over SFTP and import your MySQL database. If you would rather have help, write to contact@xeron.be.
Are email addresses included?
Yes: one 1 GB address with the Xeron subdomain plan, and 10 addresses of 5 GB each with the Own domain plans. Incoming email goes through a spam filter.
How are backups handled?
Your hosting is backed up automatically every week. For a site that changes often, also keep your own copies: it is good practice with any host.
What availability and support can I expect?
The availability target is 99% per month, excluding planned maintenance announced at least 48 hours in advance. Support answers tickets within 48 business hours at most.
Where are my websites hosted?
On servers located in Belgium. Your data stays in the European Union, in line with the GDPR.
