Cheap web hosting in Belgium: comparing the real prices in 2026

In short

  • Most introductory prices only apply to the first year, or to a four-year commitment paid upfront. At renewal, entry-level plans cost 1.6 to 4 times as much.
  • Almost every provider shows prices excluding VAT: in Belgium, add 21%.
  • Over three years, including VAT, the cheapest plan in this comparison for a small website is OVHcloud Starter (€98.30). Xeron “Your own domain” costs €108, with more space, more email addresses and no commitment.
  • Xeron has no promotional prices: €1, €3 or €5 a month including VAT, the same price every month, cancellable every month.

On hosting providers’ websites, prices often start below €3 a month. But these figures cannot be compared with each other: some exclude VAT, others assume you pay four years upfront, and almost all of them rise sharply after the first year.

For this comparison, we took the entry-level plans of five providers often found in Belgium and worked out their real price: Belgian VAT included, for the first year, at renewal and over three years.

How we compared

We took each provider’s cheapest plan that can host a website on its own domain name, with at least one email address. For OVHcloud, we also kept the Perso plan, which is closer to the others in disk space.

  • Prices were recorded on 26 October 2026 from the providers’ official pages, listed at the bottom of this page.
  • Prices shown excluding VAT were multiplied by 1.21, the standard VAT rate in Belgium, and rounded to the cent.
  • “Renewal” is the price charged after the promotional period, as stated by the provider.
  • Promotions change often: Hostinger, for example, was running a Black Friday offer when we checked.

Xeron, which publishes this guide, is part of the comparison. We applied the same method to everyone, including where the result does not favour us. Check today’s prices with the links at the bottom of this page before ordering.

Prices including VAT: first year and renewal

Monthly prices including Belgian VAT, recorded on 26 October 2026
Provider and planFirst period (per month)Renewal (per month)Commitment and paymentIncluded
OVHcloud Starter€1.92€3.1312 months paid upfront1 site, 1 GB, 2 email addresses, domain for the 1st year
Xeron subdomain€1.00€1.00Monthly, no commitment1 site on a xeron.be subdomain, 2 GB, 1 email address
Xeron “Your own domain”€3.00€3.00Monthly, no commitmentUnlimited sites, 10 GB, 10 email addresses, your domain
Hostinger Premium€3.01€12.0948 months paid upfront3 sites, 20 GB, email free for 1 year, domain for the 1st year
one.com Starter€3.62€10.8812 months paid upfront1 site, 25 GB, 1 email address, domain for the 1st year
OVHcloud Perso€3.62€7.2512 months paid upfront15 sites, 100 GB, 10 email addresses, domain for the 1st year
Combell Business€7.25€23.5812 months4 sites, 50 GB, 50 email addresses, domain for the 1st year

The table shows two things. First, the gap between the first year and what follows: the price is multiplied by 1.6 at OVHcloud Starter, by 2 at OVHcloud Perso, by 3 at one.com, by 3.3 at Combell and by 4 at Hostinger. Second, the plans do not include the same things: comparing only the price, without looking at space, number of sites and email addresses, tells you very little.

What you really pay over three years

A website usually stays online for several years. The total cost over three years, including VAT, gives a fairer picture than the introductory price:

Total cost over three years including Belgian VAT, excluding domain name renewal
Provider and planYear 1Years 2 and 3Total over 3 years
Xeron subdomain€12.00€24.00€36.00
OVHcloud Starter€23.09€75.21€98.30
Xeron “Your own domain”€36.00€72.00€108.00
OVHcloud Perso€43.41€173.95€217.36
one.com Starter€43.41€261.07€304.48
Combell Business€86.97€565.99€652.96

Hostinger is not in this table because its introductory price requires a 48-month commitment: €144.62 including VAT paid when you order, or €3.01 a month for four years. The contract then renews for the same period at €12.09 a month. Over four years, that is almost exactly the price of Xeron “Your own domain” (€144), but everything is paid upfront, and email addresses are only free for the first year.

Plans that include a domain name only include it for the first year. After that, its renewal is added to the bill. With Xeron, you bring your own domain: count its price at the registrar of your choice, accredited by DNS Belgium for a .be.

The traps of introductory prices

  • Prices excluding VAT: they look 21% cheaper than they are for a private individual or a Belgian business that does not recover VAT.
  • The first year only: the renewal price is often in small print, under the order button.
  • Commitment paid upfront: a low monthly price can hide a payment of 12 or 48 months when you order.
  • “Free for one year” services: email addresses, domain name or certificate can become paid at renewal.
  • Automatic renewal: unless you act, the new price applies for a whole new period.

Which plan for which need?

  • A single small website, at the lowest price over several years, with little space needed: OVHcloud Starter is the cheapest in this comparison, provided 1 GB is enough for you.
  • Testing an idea or putting a simple site online without buying a domain: Xeron subdomain, at €1 a month with a 30-day trial.
  • Several websites and around ten email addresses, without commitment: Xeron “Your own domain” or OVHcloud Perso. Xeron stays cheaper from the second year; OVHcloud offers more disk space.
  • The lowest monthly price if you accept paying four years upfront: Hostinger Premium, allowing for the cost of email after the first year.
  • Many mailboxes and phone support around the clock: Combell Business, the most expensive in this selection but also the one with the most email addresses.

And Xeron?

Our prices are shown including Belgian VAT and do not change after the first month: €1 for a website on a xeron.be subdomain, €3 with your own domain, €5 with priority support. The subscription is monthly, cancellable at any time, with a 30-day free trial.

If our prices ever changed, our terms and conditions require us to notify existing customers by email at least 30 days in advance.

What we do not do, to be complete: we do not sell domain names (you bring your own), and support is by ticket, not by phone around the clock. Websites and email are hosted in Belgium.

Before ordering: five questions to ask

  • Does the price shown include VAT?
  • What exactly will the renewal price be, and for how long?
  • Do I have to pay several months or several years upfront?
  • Do the email addresses and domain name stay included after the first year?
  • Can I cancel and get my files, database and domain back free of charge?

If the provider answers all five clearly, you know what you will pay. For the other criteria, such as security, backups or support, our guide to choosing web hosting in Belgium lists the points to check.
